Paul Vincent is the founding partner of Vincents Chartered Accountants and has an extensive background in litigation support and forensic accounting. Paul has worked in various areas, including his early audit, taxation, insolvency and consulting career at KPMG (formerly Hungerfords). Since founding Vincents, Paul has had significant involvement in family law and commercial litigation disputes, criminal matters and professional negligence actions.
As well as a comprehensive engagement profile, Paul was appointed Queensland Chairman of the Forensic Accounting Special Interest Group (FASIG) in March 1999 and National Chairman of that group in May 2000. He remained in those roles until March 2005. Current appointments include a Member of the Steering Committee of the International Institute of Forensic Studies at Monash University and a Member of the Industry Advisory Board of the KPMG Centre for Business Forensics at Queensland University. In July of 2003, Paul was appointed to the Brisbane City Works Advisory Board of the Brisbane City Council.
He has published and presented many papers on a variety of forensic accounting issues both in Australia and overseas for legal bodies, universities and various professional organisations and through these activities, demonstrates his continuing commitment to further education and the pursuit of knowledge within the field of forensic accounting. Paul is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. |

Jonathan Dooley founded the forensic accounting and corporate advisory services divisions of Vincents in 1991 having previously worked at KPMG. Since that time he has overseen the expansion of Vincents Forensic Accounting into one of Australia's leading specialist forensic accounting firms. A pioneer in the field of forensic accounting, Jonathan has experience in insurance litigation, commercial disputes, fraud investigations, valuations, due diligence reviews, transaction management and capital raising.
Jonathan is regularly called upon to provide expert witness testimony in the District and Supreme Courts of Queensland, the Supreme Court of NSW and the Federal Court of Australia. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. |

Mark Thompson began his career at Price Waterhouse in the Corporate Finance division before being employed by Vincents Chartered Accountants as an Associate in 1995. In July 1999, he was appointed partner at Vincents, and has since gained extensive experience in the areas of forensic accounting and litigation support. Although Mark has worked widely in the field, assessing damages in relation to various commercial disputes and assessing business interruption claims, his particular focus has been the calculation of economic loss in relation to personal injury matters.
As a recognised leader in his field, Mark is often asked to write and present papers and seminars to the industry, and has also been a member of the education sub-committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants' forensic accounting discussion group. |

Nick Combis has been an expert insolvency practitioner for over 10 years, specialising in both corporate and personal insolvencies since graduation. After working in other specialist insolvency firms, Nick was appointed Partner - Insolvency & Reconstruction, at Vincents in July 2001.
Nick has been actively involved in not less than 400 voluntary administrations, liquidations and bankruptcies covering a diverse range of businesses and industries. His proactive approach to his work results in an ability to effectively manage risk and deliver quality results in an efficient, cost-effective manner.

David joined Vincents in August 2001 through a merger with his existing accounting practice. With 20 years experience in accounting having started his career at KPMG, David has also held senior accounting positions in commerce including state administration manager at Thiess Environmental Services.
During his time at Vincents, David has managed the business services division - now the Taxation & Business Solutions division - and developed a strong team able to deliver a comprehensive range of accounting and tax consulting services. He has a particular focus in property development and the retail industry, delivering strategic planning and point of sale solutions to large chains and franchise groups.
David's commercial acumen enables him to deal with a range of issues that SME businesses face and can explain difficult concepts in a straightforward manner.

Peter Haley commenced employment with Vincents Chartered Accountants in the year 2000 and was appointed Partner in July 2003. Prior to joining Vincents, he worked for 15 years in other accounting firms where he practised in all areas of accounting, business and taxation planning, performance of due diligence assignments, audit and financial planning.
In his time at Vincents, Peter has worked in all areas of forensic accounting and litigation support, but has a particular focus in the areas of family law and estate litigation.
In both areas of law, Peter's central focus is the examination of both simple and complex business structures in order to establish the relevant interests of the parties involved. Peter also excels at clearly communicating his findings in both expert reports and in the delivery of expert evidence both in conciliation conferences and at trial.
Peter is a registered tax agent and holds memberships of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and the Queensland Collaborative Law Inc. James Prineas is a partner in the Business Services division. He was previously employed as a manager of the Pharmacy Services division at Johnston Rorke. He has comprehensive experience in advising the pharmacy industry on performance issues. He is on the pharmacy valuation panels of all the major banks in Australia.
James was involved in the team engaged by the Pharmacy Guild of Australia to be part of the roll-out of their nationwide seminar series on the Introduction of GST and has also been a guest lecturer at the University of Queensland's School of Pharmacy, covering the financial aspects of the pharmacy industry. Ian McKinnon joined Vincents in 2002 to lead the Financial Crime Division. He is a specialist in providing forensic support in Financial Investigation, Proceeds of Crime matters, Financial Crime Defences, Money Laundering and Risk Management issues. Ian possesses a wealth of experience having worked in both public practice and the corporate sector, including in the Business Services and Taxation area of Ernst and Young, as Finance Director of Unisys Australia, and as Company Secretary of FHS Medical. Most recently Ian was attached to the Queensland Police Service providing forensic legal and accounting advice on matters being investigated and prosecuted by the Major Fraud and Proceeds of Crime groups.
As well as being a Chartered Accountant, Ian has been admitted as a solicitor with the Supreme Court of Queensland and as a Barrister with the NSW Supreme Court. Ian has lectured at the Queensland Police Service Detective Training Economic Crime Course, the Institute of Chartered Accountants Professional Year Program and lecturers in the Queensland University of Technology Master in Accounting. Background
Daniel heads up the Forensic Technology division, working with our highly qualified computer forensic experts to deliver solutions in the field of ESI (Electronically Stored Information) and digital evidence. He is also a Senior Associate in the Forensic division working on financial crime investigations, commercial litigation and valuation engagements.
Daniel joined Vincents in 2002 after gaining considerable experience in business analysis. He brings a wealth of international experience to both the Forensic Accounting and Forensic Technology divisions, having worked with PKF Worldwide and later in various commercial roles as a Senior Accountant in the London head office of Tomkins plc.

Daniel has worked extensively on business valuations, valuations of superannuation interests and assessing losses for proceedings in the District and Supreme Courts of Queensland and the Family Court of Australia.

Background
Dr Bradley Schatz, Principal Computer Forensic Scientist at Vincents, is an expert in Computer Forensics, being one of the few people globally who hold a Ph.D. in the area. While carrying an active load of forensic investigations, Bradley manages the operational aspects of the Vincent’s Forensic Technology practise, in the areas of computer forensics, electronic discovery, and incident response.
Prior to joining Vincent’s, Bradley attained his doctorate at the Information Security Institute, QUT, while building a successful IT Systems Management business. Bradley has over 13 years of experience in the IT industry, with a background including software engineering and computer security in industries such as broadcast and investment banking.
Specialty
Bradley specialises in digital evidence related matters, including computer forensics and electronic discovery. He is widely experienced in the forensic acquisition and analysis of computer and network systems, and has provided legal clients with investigation, analysis and expert opinion on technical evidence matters.
As a consulting expert, he has assisted in bringing a number of civil and criminal defence matters to successful resolutions. In the related area of electronic discovery, Bradley provides consulting and strategic direction in managing litigation involving Electronically Stored Information.
Among the more significant cases Bradley has handled is the investigation of claims of deletion, by a doctor accused of malpractice, of medical records from a medical database; and the forensic analysis of laboratory testing software in order to defend claims of intrusion and deletion of proprietary data.

Stuart Benjamin is a forensic accountant with Vincents providing services to both the Forensic Accounting and Cororate Advisory Services divisions. He has over 15 years experience in providing professional and commercial accounting services including eight years at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was a Senior Manager in the firm's Risk Management and Business Services divisions. Prior to joining Vincents he was a commercial analyst with a listed multi-national company based in Brisbane.
Stuart specialises in valuation, commercialisation and litigation issues associated with intellectual property including patents, licences, trademarks and copyright. He has provided expert witness testimony in the Supreme Court of Queensland and various tribunals on commercial and intellectual property matters and has published and presented many papers on a variety of intellectual property and commercialisation issues for legal bodies, universities and professional organisations.

Background
Elia Lytras is an Expert Witness and Forensic Accountant based in Brisbane who has worked on local, national and international engagements. Prior to joining Vincents in 2002, Elia was the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of an unlisted public company in which he was also a shareholder. Elia’s forensic accounting expertise began at KPMG where he was a Manager in the firm's Management Consulting and Corporate Finance Division.
