Expertise Ian is a specialist in conducting financial investigations, providing forensic advice to financial regulators, and providing forensic advice on both proceeds of crime litigation and financial crime defences.
Qualifications Chartered Accountant, ICAA – Associate Bachelor of Arts (Accounting) – University of Canberra Diploma in Law (BAB/SAB) Certificate IV in Government Investigations – Charles Sturt University
Background Ian joined Vincents in 2002 to lead the Financial Crime group within the Forensic Accounting division. As well as being a Chartered Accountant, he has been admitted as a solicitor with the Supreme Court of Queensland and as a Barrister with the NSW Supreme Court. Ian possesses a wealth of experience having worked in government, public practice and the corporate sector.
Most recently Ian has worked with both the Queensland Police Service and a number of Regulators providing forensic advice and forensic training.

Publications & Presentations As a financial crime expert, Ian presents widely; his Financial Crime Course is finding an enthusiastic audience in Federal and State Government departments including the Australian Federal Police, Crime and Misconduct Commission (Qld) Department of Immigration, Department of Education, and Workplace Relations. He has lectured at the Queensland Police Service Detective Training Economic Crime Course, the Institute of Chartered Accountants Professional Year Program and lectures at the Queensland University of Technology Masters in Accounting Program.
