graduate program overview
Initially, our graduates are offered a placement in one of our specialist business units, namely:
1. Forensic Accounting 2. Taxation & Business Solutions 3. Insolvency & Reconstruction
The Rotation Option A graduate's initial placement is for a minimum of 12 months, then their performance is reviewed - we try and place each accountant in a position that compliments their interests and skill set. For this reason, it may be appropriate for graduates to experience another area of Vincents, i.e. we may feel you could benefit from exposure to work in another area or you may have a desire to spread your scope of experience. Subject to availability and satisfactory performance, we will accommodate requests for a ‘rotation’ in another business unit at the end of the first 12 months.
Graduates - forensic accounting career path To pursue a positionin the Forensic Accounting unit after your initial 12 months, it is usual for graduates to spend a period of one to two years working predominantly in Vincents' Taxation & Business Solutions unit (aka business services).
As a member of theTaxation & Business Solutions team, you will be involved in preparing and interpreting financial statements and taxation returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and superannuation funds. You will also assist in providing clients with advice on issues such as tax planning, business performance and corporate structures.
Exposure to forensic accounting will also be provided during this time to assist with your career transition.
Once transitioned into the Forensic Accounting team, you will be involved in a wide range of legal and commercial dispute areas such as assessment of damages, business valuations, fraud investigations, personal injury matters and insurance services.
